Hello everyone!!
November is officially hip hop history month as well as the 42nd anniversary of the ZULU NATION!! For those that aren't aware, Anchorage has recently been developing a ZULU chapter and working closely with THE GLOBAL BLOCK in taking action with our community.
That being said...
We are proud to announce this ZULU NATION ANNIVERSARY EVENT happening Saturday November 21st.
ALL EVENT PROFITS WILL BE DONATED TO THE ALASKA TEEN SUICIDE PREVENTION FUND!!!
Event details are still in the works but the following can be expected...
1. Guest speaker Mikey Ice - member of legendary STYLE ELEMENTS CREW and president of his local chapter in California. He will be revealing the foundation of HIP HOP CULTURE & THE ENTIRE HISTORY on how the ZULU NATION began
2. Hip hop element and knowledge base workshops covering all elements with a discussion of how these elements can be used to better personal growth, open doors of opportunities, and help with local issues such as SUICIDE and VIOLENCE. GUEST ARTISTS: Bboy icey ives (international Bboy competitor), Bboy figment (local old school Bboy), bgirl snap one (nationally recognized female breaker and competitor), bisco (local artist), MIKEY ICE (founder of style elements and hip hop leader in Los Angeles and Zulu nation leader), George Martinez (MC and community worker all across the globe and Zulu nation leader), Kyle ahki Roberson (local poet and old school Zulu nation leader), DJ Tecumseh (Seattle 206 Zulu DJ) & more!!
3. Further discussion of what's to be expected from THE GLOBAL BLOCK and the ZULU CHAPTER
